PERFORMANCE

STAGE & VOICE ACTING

As a voice actor, stage actor, and singer, I am always in search of weird and wonderful art: the almost-pretentious, the abstract and surrealist, and the sincerely heartfelt.

My acting training is strongly rooted in the Stanislavski method, an excellent fit for my love of history, textual analysis, and poetry and complex prose. My passion for collaboration in theatrical spaces shows itself in my extensive experience with ensemble-work and devising.

I am a mezzo-soprano with excellent auditory learning skills, trained in both modern and ‘golden age’ musical theatre styles as well as classical music and contemporary pop. I have performed as a soloist, in large choirs, in an a capella group, and in an award-winning girl’s trio back in high school. I have experience singing in Latin, Italian, Spanish, French, and German (as well as English, of course!)

Regarding audio recording equipment, I use a Blue Yeti X microphone in a sound-treated closet space.

In 2022, I received the Fisher ‘56 Award for Exceptional Achievement in the Creative Arts. I graduated Brandeis University the following semester, the spring of 2023, with a B.A. with honors in Music, and a B.A. with highest honors in Theatre Arts.

My honors were awarded for my senior undergraduate thesis, ‘The Opposite of People: The Social Model of Disability as a Tool for Storytelling’, in which I analyzed the historical basis of how disabled people such as myself are portrayed onstage, and how the social model of disability could be used to change that for the better. This was accompanied by a one-act performance of Rosencrantz & Guildenstern are Dead by Tom Stoppard, with myself playing Guildenstern, where my ideas were tested against the reality of a production/rehearsal period.

Thoughtful advocacy and empathy in art are my core values. I am always looking for more opportunities to cultivate a positive shift in the performance industry and the culture therein, by letting art do what it does best; inspire, inform, and make real human connections.

I am based in Boston, Massachusetts.
